克隆号GK1.5单克隆抗体能与小鼠CD4反应。CD4抗原是属于免疫球蛋白超家族的55 kDa细胞表面I型膜糖蛋白。CD4作为一种共受体，与T细胞受体(TCR)合作，与抗原呈递细胞(APC)的class II MHC分子相互作用。大多数胸腺细胞、大多数辅助性T细胞、NK-T细胞的一个亚群表达CD4 ，树突状细胞和巨噬细胞表达较少。CD4在T细胞的发育中起着重要作用，是成熟T细胞发挥最佳功能所必需的。克隆号GK1.5抗体已被证明与克隆号YTS 177和YTS 191竞争CD4的结合。
