人骨形成蛋白9 (BMP-9)又称生长分化因子2 (GDF-2)，是转化生长因子β超家族蛋白BMP亚群的一员，通过由Ⅰ型和Ⅱ型BMP受体组成的异二聚体复合物传递信号。BMP-9调节多种胚胎和成体组织的发育和功能。BMP-9由肝脏非实质细胞合成分泌，它能促进脂质代谢并抑制葡萄糖生成。在胚胎中枢神经系统中，BMP-9在胆碱能神经元表型的发育和维持中起着重要作用。BMP-9也诱导间充质干细胞分化为软骨细胞系。在低浓度时，BMP-9是造血祖细胞的增殖因子；但在高浓度时，它会促进TGF-β1的产生并抑制造血祖细胞集落的形成。
