CD79a 又称 mb-1，是一种 47kDa 膜糖蛋白，与 CD79b 结合形成异二聚体 B 细胞受体(BCR)。这种受体负责 B 细胞信号传导，导致激活、凋亡或过敏。从最早的B 细胞到浆细胞，CD79a 的表达一直存在。CD79 表达于 B 细胞肿瘤和一些非 B 细胞恶性肿瘤，如 AML。与其它可以在 B 细胞肿瘤细胞中表达的抗体不同，HM47 是识别 CD79a 的可靠抗体，因此是 B 细胞的良好标记。由于 CD79a 的几个变体存在，表位的确切位置可能略有不同。
